    Cold Weather Reminders

    Cold Weather Reminders:

Winter has certainly arrived. Please remember that the Police Department, 2150 Hart Street, is available as a warming center if needed, as we are expecting several extremely cold days ahead. We also encourage everyone to check on their neighbors—especially the elderly—to ensure they are safe and warm.

Also, during extreme cold, keep a small trickle of cold water running—especially for pipes along outside walls—to help prevent frozen pipes. Stay warm and stay safe.

    Parks and Recreation Registrations

    Notice:
The Parks and Recreation Department is currently experiencing technical issues with our online registration system. To register for any upcoming programs or events, please contact the Parks Department directly at (219) 865-2505.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

2026 Branch and Leaf Removal Schedule

The Department of Public Works has started leaf removal services. Please ensure that leaves are placed in the parkway only and keep them off the street and away from fire hydrants, sidewalks, and street drains. It's important to only include leaves in the pile, as any other items could potentially damage the equipment and the operators.

Any questions regarding solid waste removal can be addressed by contacting the Department of Public Works.
