Welcome from the Fire Chief

The Dyer Fire Department is proud to serve the residents, businesses, and visitors of our community with professionalism, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Our culture is built on living our mission, vision, core values, and department motto every day, guiding how we serve the public and how we serve one another.

Our department continues to strengthen its focus on community risk reduction, expanding programs that directly support families and improve safety in everyday life. These efforts include smoke and carbon monoxide detector installations, child car seat inspections and installations, infant safe-sleep education, youth bicycle-helmet initiatives, public CPR and Stop the Bleed courses, as well as comprehensive fire and life safety code inspections throughout the community. Each of these programs reflects our belief that the best emergency is the one prevented.

Internally, we remain committed to high standards of preparedness and operational excellence. The development of updated policies, procedures, and a comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan ensures our personnel are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to respond effectively to the wide range of incidents we face. Our training program continues to grow into one of the strongest in the region, a direct reflection of the dedication, discipline, and pride of the men and women who serve here.
