The Clerk-Treasurer's Office administers all financial functions within the Town and provides efficient, accurate reporting to the general public and Town departments and ensures that policies, procedures and transactions comply with Town Council directives and governmental accounting standards and administers all financial operations of the Town. This department oversees the Town’s financial obligations such as maintaining the accounts receivable, accounts payable, oversees payroll, purchasing, and all general receipts. Budgeting, and auditing.

Responsibilities
The Clerk-Treasurer is the Chief Financial Officer of the town. In this role, Mrs. Astor is responsible for the overall collection and disbursement of funds, the administration of the accounting system, the signing of checks or warrants, clerk of the Town Council, custodian of municipal and utility records, and issuer of licenses. Additionally, she has broad powers to hire and supervise employees and oversee the operation of the municipal budget.
