Summary
The second phase of pathway improvements to Veterans Park has been awarded to Rock Solid Paving out of St. John. This phase will include three different segments. The first segment will connect from the playground area to the west neighboring sidewalk along Daffodil Court. The second segment will connect from the existing sidewalk along Sunflower Lane north to the existing pathway in the park. The third segment will wrap the storm water detention basin providing a looping pathway entirely within the park. Once finished the loop will be approx. one third of a mile in length. The third segment will be placed between the detention basin and the playground and will connect to the entry on the east side of the park off of Blue Jay Way. This project will cost $33,700 and is being paid for from the Park Bond of 2006.
