Town Marshal System
The Town Marshal System was activated in 1910, the year Dyer was incorporated. Town Marshals were appointed by the Town Council and served at their discretion. The early Marshals were also designated as "Street Superintendents." Below is a list of known Town Marshals that served our Town. Some dates are left out due to some old minute books missing.
