Summary
The Town of Dyer is seeking to purchase additional land for more park space for the Town. This project is a joint effort between the Park Board, Town Council and Redevelopment Commission. There is an 80 acre parcel of farm land just east of Calumet Avenue and south of 213th St. known as the Vanderwoude Farm that is the proposed site of the Central Park. The attached Central Park conceptual plan gained the most public support from the Parks & Recreation Focus Group along with the residents at the April 22, 2006 public input meeting.
