The Town of Dyer is seeking a Recreation Supervisor. The position reports directly to the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation and is responsible for planning and administering recreation programs and special events for all ages. The Town of Dyer is located in Northwest Indiana and is the third town south of Lake Michigan on the Illinois/Indiana state line, approximately thirty minutes from Chicago. Dyer was one of only two Indiana towns named in the top 100 Best Places to Live in the US by CNN and Money Magazine in 2005. The Town is predominantly a bedroom community with substantial growth over the last 10 years and an estimated population of 16,000. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Parks & Recreation or a related field. A salary of $26,520 has been set for this newly created position.
