Pheasant Hills Park master plans

Start Date: 8/27/2008 Complete Date: 12/31/2011 Responsible: Park Board

Full Description
The park board is working with Triad Associates out of Indianapolis on this project. The skate park and a new playground are currently the first updated projects for this site. The skate park will take over the existing single tennis court and include an area from that to the west toward the sidewalk along Hart Street. The tennis court will be replaced with a set of two courts at Central Park in the athletic court area at that park. The park board has budgeted $816,411 out of the 2006 park board bond issue to accomplish these improvements.

Summary
In August 2008, the park board is working with the following attachments as a guide to re-develop Pheasant Hills Park. Some of the new amenities will include a new playground, a new shelter, a paved parking lot on the south side of the park, a skate park, a pathway and improved drainage. The first phase of these improvements began in November, 2008 and include a skate park, playground and sections of pathway in those two areas. These projects are scheduled to be completed in July 2009 for a cost of approximately $545,000.
